Farewell to our Summer Law Intern - Katelyn Beale

We write to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our Summer Law Intern, Katelyn Beale, who we were fortunate to have for summer of 2021.

Katelyn was absolutely wonderful to have on the team and we wish her the best that life has to offer! She will go on to do great things and be a leader in her community.

For those who never got to meet Katelyn, she is a person with Coast Salish ancestry and she is connected to both the Penelakut Tribe and Tsartlip First Nation. Katelyn has a colourful professional background that will make her an excellent lawyer in the not-so-distant future. She is intelligent, a good problem-solver, and has great attention to detail. Of course, we can’t go without saying that her welcoming and humble personality will go a long way in the future as she works with clients who are faced with difficult legal situations. Katelyn’s past work with Indigenous communities as an advocate and in the areas of youth probation, violence prevention, and community outreach contributed to the great work she did here with Kina Law. Her past experience providing executive support at the Chief and Council level, and working on policy development initiatives relating to human resources and housing matters also made her an excellent contribution to the team.

We will miss you Katelyn…. but don’t think you can escape us that easy! Our paths will cross again!
